Five Festive Things You Can Do Over the Holiday Break

Soon “Deck the Halls” carols will fill all your shopping malls, coffee shops and study spaces. The end of the semester and holidays are approaching fast which means there are plenty of fun things to do around Toronto. The University will be closed from December 21 to January 2, so here is a list of five festive things you can do over the holiday break:

 

Skating at Nathan Phillips Square and Harbourfront Centre Natrel Rink

Winter in Canada means the outdoor rinks are ready, so sharpen your skates and hit the most popular skating rinks around Toronto: Nathan Phillips Square (100 Queen St W) and Harbourfront Centre Natrel Rink (235 Queens Quay W).

Go Tobogganing in Scarborough

L’Amoreaux Park is Scarborough’s best kept secret for tobogganing. The park offers steep hills with a longer run-out and less traffic than other popular tobogganing hills.

Try the City’s Best Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate during winter is always appreciated. Try out this delicious goodness at Toronto’s hottest chocolate spots, like Peace Treats (131 Ossington Ave) or Sweet Jesus (Scarborough Town Centre).
