Say Hello!
The Toronto-to-Victoria move was a big gamble that paid off in ways I never expected. Between discovering the perfect apple pie spots along the Trans-Canada Highway and cranking Def Leppard while driving scenic routes that still blow my mind, I found myself putting down roots in a community that felt like home from day one.
I loved telling military stories, but I also realized that my own community needed a storyteller too. That’s when the Kozak Herald came to life—giving the Island’s vibrant and active Ukrainian community the platform and representation they need. The Kozak Herald became my way of serving my community.
These days, I split my time between PR studies at UVic, advocating for veteran organizations, and working on my next perfect apple pie recipe. I’m always looking for that human connection that makes everything else make sense.
Currently enjoying the perfect combination of small-town community vibes with big-city coffee quality that only Victoria can provide.
